Love for a former prisoner![]() Acquaintance with a new person is always fraught with danger. When you meet an unknown person, you can rely only on your first impressions and appearance of this person. You can also judge a person by his/her gestures, posture and intonation. Scouts, secret service men and spies are able to make a full and detailed description of a person at once. This description is usually very accurate and true. Unfortunately, ordinary people are unable to discover all negative features of a person at once. Besides, if we like a person at first sight, we tend to overlook his/her drawbacks on purpose, even if they are rather vivid, but this is another topic for discussion. For teenagers everything is much simpler. They easily fall in love and easily part with each other. Even if it is very difficult for them to go through a break-up, they can quickly find another match and forget about their negative experience. This experience is even favourable for them, as they learn to live their lives, learn to build relationships and learn more about human nature. People at a mature age don't have much time to such experiments. They have already had their negative experience and don't want to repeat it. They are very cautious, because if they are still single, they are tired of loneliness and want at last find their true love and create a family. They sometimes want to regulate their life so much, that they are ready to create a family with any type of a person on any terms. Of course, this is an extreme, which often leads to failure. The older a person is, the more difficult for him/her it is to find a good match. This fact pushes them to committing hasty steps. This mostly happens with women, when they are above 30 years old. For them creating a family is the main aim of their lives and it becomes an end in itself. It is very difficult to find a man of 40, who has never been married, but wants to marry very much, is handsome and ready to take responsibility for his family. If a man at a mature age is not married, it is rather strange. He is either divorced, or has some serious problems. Thus the probability of meeting an abnormal man for a single woman increases exponentially from year to year. The older a woman is the more likely it is for her to meet a former prisoner. The scenario is very simple. A woman meets a man, who is decent and kind, judging by first impressions. The only strange thing in him is that he has never been married. Later it becomes known, that he has served his time. This fact embarrasses women greatly. They begin to fear this person. The fact that he has committed a crime, even if it happened long ago casts an imputation on this man. What are the odds on him being improved? Is he able to forget about his dark past and start a new life? How will he raise his children? These questions are as hard to answer as to predict one's future. They can be answered with the lapse of time. Each woman, who has come across this situation, must decide whether she should stay with this man or find another match, but in general we must admit that former prisoners should have a right to start their life from the beginning. Prison is not a life sentence. If a person has committed a crime, he/she must have an opportunity to improve and prove him/herself, that he/she has learn a lesson and is ready to become a normal person. |
